Alena and Taylor met in December 2023 at The Vault in Lafayette, Indiana. What started as a normal night out quickly turned into something unexpected. They clicked right away and spent the entire night talking, laughing, and completely focused on each other, barely paying attention to anyone else they came with.

From that night on, they were basically inseparable and never really stopped seeing each other. When Taylor first came home with Alena, he passed the most important test by winning over her black lab, Koda. Koda is usually not a fan of belly rubs, but Alena turned around while making dinner and found him on his back, happily letting Taylor rub his belly. That was the moment Alena knew Taylor had officially won them both over.

In May 2025, Taylor planned a proposal that felt simple, thoughtful, and very “them.” He chose the Celery Bog Nature Area, a place that has always meant a lot to Alena and where she spent countless walks with Koda before meeting Taylor. Walking together has become one of their favorite ways to spend time, so the location felt just right.

On Memorial Day Weekend 2025, Taylor brought Koda along for a walk and proposed on a quiet park bench tucked into the woods. It was exactly how they wanted it, just the three of them, in a place that means so much.
